Life is dynamic, and change is constant, as wise men say. Sometimes we fall, and sometimes we rise; sometimes we are weak, and sometimes we are strong. For me, maintaining balance in life means accepting that nothing stays the same. This is a real-life story from which I learned a valuable lesson.

Long ago in a hush-hush African village, a number of travelers set out from their home village to the big city. Along the unpaved road they traveled on a raining day. They met a stranded vehicle, helplessly stuck within the deep mud. The stocked vehicle's passengers worked hard to get it out, because they were worried about the goods they were carrying, which would definitely spoil if night overtook them before they reached the city.
The travelers' vehicle was powerful and good. It navigated the trap of the mushy way with no difficulty at all. As this powerful car pasted the passengers of the stucked vehicle, one of its passengers commenced mocking them—laughing at them due to their misfortune. "Look at them, struggling like that! Our vehicle is so much better!" the passenger said in a loud voice..
The travelers went on their way, feeling proud about their robust vehicle. But suddenly, just after 30 minutes of drive, their apparently invincible vehicle began to experience a very serious mechanical problem: the engine coughed to a stop as they were right in the middle of nowhere. That was when the driver himself bent over the engine, but very soon he realized that this was beyond his skills and that they would have to wait for parts and a mechanic from the city.
As they waited, the travelers noticed something that shocked them. The very vehicle they had laughed at earlier, the one stuck in the mud, drove past them with ease. The tables had turned, and now it was the mighty vehicle that was helpless on the side of the road, while the once-stuck vehicle continued on its journey.
The travelers learned a valuable lesson that day. They realized that it is unwise to mock others in their times of struggle, for misfortune can befall anyone at any time. What seemed like strength and superiority can quickly turn into vulnerability. Instead of mocking others, it is better to show understanding and offer help, for life has a way of teaching humility to those who are prideful.
